The IB Baccalaureate is your ticket to studying at top universities abroad.
It allows you to apply to Yale, Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge and many other universities. With this diploma, you can also participate in international symposia, conferences and receive scholarships. How do we respond to your concerns?
The transition from primary school to high school, and on top of that within an international curriculum, presents many new challenges – advanced material in a foreign language, unprecedented subjects, a completely new environment.
With the help of an experienced tutor, finding your way around these new, specific requirements can be much easier. By keeping up to date with exam standards and assignments, we can help IB students develop the skills they need to cope with the challenges of this form of education.
In our classes, we give students the space to ask questions, teach them to be self-directed in their work, help students understand difficult concepts and explain the material being discussed. We pay attention to tailoring the learning process to the student, so that learning takes place smoothly and produces satisfying results.
The IB curriculum differs significantly from the standard Polish curriculum. It includes not only a wide range of content, but also practical skills. In the IB programme, students work on a number of time-consuming projects. Classes are held in English, which requires knowledge of the language at an advanced level.
Our tutoring school helps students find their way through the IB programme. We encourage students to start with simple tasks so that they can gain confidence and experience with the IB programme at the start. With additional lessons in English, the language barrier ceases to be a problem over time. During tutoring, we use our own sets of tasks created specifically for IB classes in English. Together, we can discuss the best learning strategies and approaches to the tasks given, so as to facilitate the learning process.
We are there to support you in organising your work on specific projects and topics. All in the interest of ensuring that you find the learning mode that is right for you.
The belief that these topics are too difficult may be due to a lack of adequate explanation and active accompaniment of students in their learning.
In our classes, we focus on ensuring that students understand the topic from the ground up, rather than just memorising the most important formulae. This gives them the chance to understand why a principle works and how it works, and then use the knowledge they have gained more fully and freely.
We tailor our approach to each student, so they can gain knowledge and skills with greater confidence. When solving tasks in class, we follow the students’ reasoning with them and identify gaps together. By learning about each student’s difficulties and specific ways of reasoning, we are able to guide their learning accordingly. Tailored to the student, the teaching results in a better understanding of the topics discussed and an increase in confidence and competence.

As a high school graduate of the IB programme this year, I am extremely satisfied with the tutoring at Foster High. The maths tutoring provided by Kuba, was done in a relaxed atmosphere which was very helpful for me to learn. All the tasks were explained in an understandable, patient and calm manner. At foster high I was preparing for the IB baccalaureate in physics HL and maths AA HL. Luke S. with whom I worked was always helpful. He explained the topics very effectively but also in depth, I enjoyed listening to Luke explain the physics topics, so I was able to catch up easily. We did a lot of assignments in class and if I didn’t know how to approach some of the problems then Luke would guide me without giving too much information, which allows for further thinking, promotes learning and independence. Luke was always friendly and the lessons were enjoyable, as a result of the lessons I was able to get higher results than I expected, 7 and 6. I would highly recommend foster high and Luke in particular.
